Here's something for the next few Winter Camps, somewhat a chapter wide hobby. We could land a lunar rover on the moon and get $30 Mil. All the probe needs to do is be capable of completing several mission objectives, including roaming the lunar surface for at least 500 meters and sending video, images and data back to the Earth.

Congratulations to Mahican Chapter members Gabe and Martin Church, who were tapped out for the Vigil Honor at the Fall Conclave.
Also, long time downriver scouter Kim Terry was tapped out.

I hope all of you are having a great summer. I work for the Detroit Media Partnership, and it was recently announced that we will be conducting Scout tours of our Sterling Heights Operations Facility. If anyone has a unit that may be interested in a tour of the printing and operations facility of The Detroit News and Free Press, let me know. I will connect you with the appropriate people.

As of the end of the second quarter, the Winter Camp Future Society portfolio is up approximately 11.5%. Now, if I can just keep it moving up, rather than down, then things will be lovely.

The lodge roster indicates that The Oak would have got it at Winter Camp XXIX

To the best of my knowledge, I do not have a cane. You might try Oakley.

I think Ron might still have it. If he doesn't then I'd guess Dave Oakley.

Happy belated Birthday John. So, who has the cane now? The last I remember is that Ron got it, several years ago. Now that I think about it, it won't be long before someone else joins me at the next milestone level.

I moved to Holt, Michigan, which is a suburb of Lansing. I'll join Rob Hartwig, Jeff Rand, and others I'm sure as a winter camp who is coming from the lansing area.

I heard today that Aaron Ankiel is an Eagle Scout. I'm not sure how old that news is, but I know it's not too old.

There are a few things. You can see the list at www.migisi.org. You don't have to pay any previous year's dues, but you do have to be registered in Scouting.

Are there any lodge events over the summer? How does one go about getting involved in the lodge again after being away for a while? Responsible for back dues?
