Either way you slice it I was pretty shocked, and more than a little honored. I'm just glad that I'm allowed to work in the trees in the first place. Probably within the next year or two they'll have some trees ready for harvest which is very exciting!

Okay, so a bit of misinformation on my part. Although they referenced the Red Arrow in discussing their gratitude for Kristie's hard work on Migisi's trees and with the summer camp program, they didn't confer that award on her. Instead she received an award from the youth leaders of the lodge. The cool part was that the award came solely from the youth, the advisers weren't even aware.
