The Wall
This is the place where you can make your feelings heard (just don't be a jerk about it).
If you'd like to see something someone said in the last two months or so, you can check out the Wall Archives below:
If what you're looking for didn't show up, check out the Stacks, which basically allows you to look at everything that's ever been archived.
Check out what everyone else is saying:
E-mail addresses and names are not guaranteed to be who they say they are.
That being said, we should tell you that the webmaster can tell who said what.

Congratulations indeed! Both on Michael and on your impressive efficiency. 210 minutes from notification to closure is a standard that few will approach.

Congratulations to Ron Donohue. He and his wife Jeanne adopted a little boy and brought him hom yesterday. His name is Michael Isamu Donohue. 7 lbs 11 oz, 20.5" long.
We got the news Monday night shortly after they got the news. They had been looking to adopt again, but hadn't found any prospects. They received a surprise phone call at 4:00 pm Monday and by 7:30 pm they had adopted him.
Monday evening as imagined by Joe Hellar.
Ron answers the phone, "Hey Jeanne, they got a baby. It's a boy. What do you think?"
Moffled response...
"Okay, yeah, we'll take him."
Just call him Impulse Dad.

I put it into effect last night. It's not perfect, but it mostly works.
I think the next step might be to consider putting biographies in the same database. Not sure if that will forever corrupt the original EWC concept or not.

I had this thought about Encyclopedia WinterCampica. If I added the WInter Camps as entries, then we'd find many of the events that occured at a specific Winter Camp using the parsing function. You can see an example at:
www.wintercamp.com/rfrnc/theguide/item.php?pk_ewc=635
Does anyone see value in this?

Actually, tomorrow I will be celebrating my 2,610th week completed.

Shouldn't that be the 2,601st anniversary?

At Mark's suggestion I made a change earlier today which should have made the cross-referencing much better.

I made a format change in the EWC that I think makes it easier to read. Anyone else have an opinion

For future reference, it would be easier if you actually mentioned where you found the problems. I believe I've removed all the Mark6 and Bollman6 issues as well as the 2 duplicate entries I found.

I noticed a couple of articles repeated, but chiefly I noticed that the author's name had a 6 rather than an arrow at the end.

I've uploaded the newest version of the Encyclopedia WinterCampica. There are probably some weird formatting errors. Take a look (www.wintercamp.com/rfrnc/theguide/) and let me know what you find.

So I redid the Who's Who and the pecking list. So far it only does the "official" list, but there are some interesting things on there.
Mark Bollman--> is breathing down Doug Wilson's neck. If Doug misses a camp, Mark will pass him as Mark--> is third in nights behind Jeff and Steve.
John Howey passed Ozzie on the offical list this year, with 24 camps under his belt. If Ozzie misses next year, Roger Horn will probably pass him.
Gordon Draper is poised to overtake Steve Pejuan.
Paul Kupser will pass Tom Ray next year as will Dave Oakley.
If Keith King attends for 2 nights he'll pass Dan Bollman, all 4 puts him past Mark Hunt too.
Ethan Rein should pass up Brad Eakin and take the number 22 spot.
If Mike Hodnicki comes all 4 nights he could be the biggest mover in the top 50 by going from 29 to 24 and passing Brian Mann, Lee Gardy, Rob Hartwig, Gary Allen and Doug Seman.
Of course, anyone who attended his first Winter Camp this year could make a huge leap from somewhere in the 200s to down around 120 just by attending a second Winter Camp.
