Please explain the following terms as they are traditionally used by Winter Camp:

  1. CHR
    Continuous Hiking Regime
    Name given by the Goons to the dark times when Jeff was leader then adviser.
    Charles Howell Scout Reservation
    Camp sold in the eighties which now has a memorial at D-bar-A Scout Ranch.
    Cold Heavy Rain
    One of 8 precipitation patterns possible in the Winter Camp Weather recording system.
    Christmas Holiday Retreat
    Orignal name for Winter Camp, changed because Goons never retreat.
    Complete Hobby Received
    Notation used by Mark Bollman--> to show a Hobby Draw has been demoed successfully at the follwing Winter Camp.

    Preferred brand of grits
    Time taken to travel from D-A to IGA
    Basic unit of time in UMS

    Time when we're supposed to be quiet so others can sleep.

  8. Winter Camp Savings Time
    Used to describe what happens after someone ruins Winter Camp
    EST plus 77 minutes ( if it's 2:00 EST, it's 3:17 WCST)
    EST minus 77 minutes ( if it's 2:00 EST, it's 12:43 WCST)
    EST plus Current Winter Camp number (so plus 44 minutes at Winter Camp XLIV
