Like Steve said, I thought it was great how we pulled more people than the movie. Nothing like watching a movie with intermittant crashes of blocks! I also liked how after a while they started doing new things with the blocks. I saw a wall, Steve mentioned they had a pyramid. Seems to be the natural progression of things, like what some of the kids @ wintercamp did with the dominos during the giant movie.
I'm thinking i'll have to get a stick to keep in the box and to put a mallet in there as well. That way we're not trying to find a stick to play DBTI style.
We should try to put in a plug (with a picture if possible) in the next Eagle pipe like we talked about before.
You know what's next though.... Giant Kerplunk using PVC tubing and soccerballs...

Giant Jenga made an appearance at the Spring Ordeal. For most of the event, it was a bigger draw than the movie "Up!". Keith and I did have to teach the kids how to play DBTI style with gusto. They liked the idea but were way to tap-tap-tappy with the mallet.

I just received some sad news from Dave Oakley.
Bob Stone passed away on Sunday. Visitation is tomorrow from 2-9 at Martenson in Allen Park. Services are Friday at noon.
Kristie and I are hoping to be there around 7.

That sounds great. I'll make sure to take pictures when we're going through the kitchen on May 15th at my house.

I liked it too :) I think we should try to put something in about Winter Camp every issue. Maybe next issue could be some of the pre-planning or the story of cleaning the dishes or whatever. Might be fun to see a pic of all the boxes stacked up wall-like.

Nice plagiarism and a nice "Norman Rockwell" portrait for your family.

By that, I assume you mean the big guy at the door. Perhaps I will dig the "Ron Donohue Day" plaque out tonight and read it to the family at dinner, whilst playing Bruce Springsteen's "Glory Days" on the stereo. Yeah, that will go over real well.
