I'm going to claim that the May 1976 Ordeal might have been the best one for Winter Camp. Three of the first twelve Winter Campers were inducted at that Ordeal and two have been coming ever since Winter Camp II.

The other day I was reading a post from someone who was talking about their 25th anniversary as an Arrowmen. It made me wonder about Winter Campers. The list is pretty impressive; there are 26 people who recently visited camp and 2 who are getting very close. Here are some Ordeal dates:

”Lincoln Pilgrimage and Cub Winter Adventure Day is a day event full of fun for the whole family. We have activities for scouts of all ages. The highlight of the day is the Lincoln Pilgrimage, re-dedication ceremony of our Abraham Lincoln statue. This ceremony has a long history and tradition for decades. The Order of the Arrow has annually commenced this ceremony since 1959.
We will have many winter activities such as fort building, snow shoeing, ice fishing, sledding (bring your sled, we provide the hill), and a snowman contest. All winter activities depends on the weather, of course. We will also have an Ice Fish-O-Ree, Ice Fishing Pole making, 2 man sawing, and branding.”
Be sure to dress for the weather as most of us will be outside for the events.
