While the engineering staff and assorted spectators attended to the trebuchet at Winter Camp XV, Mark Bollman--> and Roger Horn ventured onto the frozen surface of Beaver Lake for an impromptu athletic match. Ice Golf involves kicking a golf ball (at Winter Camp XV, it was a Maxfli Red #4) at a cattail head lying on the ice, attempting to hit it in the fewest kicks. The course began in Beaver Lake Cove before moving out to the main body of ice. Roger cruised to a 9-stroke victory in the 18-hole competition.
