HDA stands for "Hike Disguised as an Activity", and, much like "Winter Camp for One", is often used as a mild pejorative describing certain Winter Camp events. The prototype HDA is perhaps the "Westward Ho, Wagon In Tow" event from Winter Camp XXVIII. The Requiem for Boy Scouts ceremony at Winter Camp XLII stands as another fine example of this form.
