The official indoor game of Winter Camp, 4-Square was first formally organized by Roger Horn, who turned his bunk 90 degrees and created a court in the sleeping area of the Beaver Creek building. He, Lee Gardy, and Mark Bollman--> saw to it that the court was set up in many future years. Lee dubbed it "The 4-Square Palace of Metamora" in 1987, at about the same time that the nearby Palace of Auburn Hills was named.
