Current Entry: Dinner And A Movie
At Winter Camp XXVII, the TBS show of this name was tapped for dinner on Day Three. The movie was 2003's Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, and the meal was authentic Caribbean-style food. On the menu were spicy meatloaf, curried potatoes, and "rice and peas", which Winter Camp research had found to be the default name for a wide variety of dishes with beans or peas in them. Winter Camp's version of the dish had beans in it. The meal concluded with molasses cake.
At Winter Camp XXIX, the activity returned as the Tripoli Dinner, where Bollmano's Pizza moved the Pizza Smorgasbord from a snack back to a dinner and National Treasure was shown.
Bollmano's catered the meal again at Winter Camp XXX, and Cutthroat Island was screened. Bollmano's was moved to a different night at Winter Camp XXXI, and Clash of the Titans was the movie. The menu at XXXI reverted toward the XXVII dinner, and was responsible for a glut of molasses cake at camp that year. Mark Bollman--> prepared several loaves on Day Two before leaving camp for the evening, loaves that were overlooked by the evening's kitchen crew. They then prepared more-amazingly, there was sufficient molasses to do so.
