Thematic events at Winter Camp XXVII were centered around television. Each day's schedule was printed in the Winter Camp News as "Today's Programming", and each event listed was connected to a broadcast or cable network. Several Winter Camp events and meals were directly inspired by television shows-these included Food 911 Lunch, Dinner and a Movie, and Rock 'n Jock Ultimate Frisbee.
