Part of Winter Camp XXIX's Around the World in a Weekette, this event was contested at two places during the horseback ride added at camp on Day Four. As the first crew of riders waited and loaded up, other campers started tossing bolas in the pasture across the road from the barns. After their departure, the bola tossing and boomerang throwing moved to the field surrounding the central flagpole. Considerable ingenuity was required to retrieve a bola stuck up in the pine trees on the northern edge of the clearing.
