Winter Camp III marked the first, albeit unofficial, Winter Camp service project. Several Arrowmen invested a bit of free time that weekette in reinforcing a bridge over the stream behind Clearwater cabin. In preparation for Winter Camp IV, it was proposed that Winter Camp offer a day of service to the camp in exchange for an additional day of camping. This offer was accepted, and camp service became an official part of the Winter Camp program. Over time, the tradeoff ceased, but camp still runs for 5 days and includes a service project.
