As part of the runup to Winter Camp XLIV, we decided to run a program similar to day camp. Campers would arrive in the morning, participate in activities and meals, then go home to sleep. The plan was to have two days of local events. We had tapped First United Methodist Church as our location and secured permission from he council to hold the event. As Michigan's Covid-19 numbers worsened throughout the Fall, we were forced to pull the plug on this event. Winter Camp actually made this decision before it was mandated, but the mandate remained in effect into January so it was clear we had made the correct decision. Isabel Alderman had volunteered to be the youth leader for this event and her adviser would have been Steve Donohue. (SD)
