Current Entry: Chapter Trailer
The chapter built a trailer in the 80s. It was green and had a roof which lifted up on four pipes to form a canopy. It was designed to hold ceremonial gear but it was used at Winter Camp a few times to get more gear to camp.
It was quite the contraption and lifting the roof required 3-5 people depending on how strong (and tall) those doing the lifting were. During the construction, Bob Stone was injured and had to go to the hospital for stitches.
The trailer had two major incidents. In 1980, it had a wheel fall off on the Southfield Freeway near Joy Rd on the way to the Fall Fellowship. After stumping Mr. Oatley when asking for advice, the ocntents were emptied into Ozzie's Suburban and the trailer was left on the side of the road. Late that night, the members of the chapter arrived with another trailer and took both trailers back to Ozzie's house.
Another time, while on the fire road at CHR, the trailer flipped onto its side. Debate continues as to the cause with excessive speed and poor load-balancing the two primary candidates.
