The theme of Winter Camp XXXVIII commemorated the Ocean's 11-13 movies, and events during the weekette were designed to lead up to a casino heist on the final night of camp. The deluxe casino was located at the Trout Lake, and the expanded casino facilities included a buffet dinner, a stage show, complimentary drink service, and [bubble gum] cigars and [candy] cigarettes for the taking. Professional blackjack dealer Gerald Rein joined the casino staff for the evening. While various scams were inflicted on the tables, which led to $10,000,000 and $50,000,000 chips entering circulation, a separate crew of campers was orchestrating a break-in that emptied the casino vault from behind the scenes.
