Current Entry: X Marks The Spot
Steve Donohue came up with this idea for Winter Camp XXX, playing off the Roman numeral for the weekette. A large tic-tac-toe grid was raised in front of Beaver Creek on Day One, and two teams set out in opposite directions to solve puzzles and collect blue or white X's to be placed on the board. Three team members were required to return to BC to place an X, and the entire team had to be in place to place a winning combination. This last rule doomed the Blue team, who searched frantically and to no avail for team members who were at large in camp while the White team placed their final X. Though no one scored three of their X's in a row, White won by logging 5 X's to Blue's 4. At Winter Camp XXXI, the game returned, with the Blue team notching a clear three-in-a-row victory.
