Current Entry: World War I Flour Wars
One advantage of buying flour in bulk (25 pound bags) at Sam's Club is that Winter Camp frequently has lots of extra flour for use in pursuits other than baking. Following a trip back in time to December 1910 during the Behind Enemy Lines wide game, Winter Camp XXXIV saw campers adapt to their new temporal surroundings by re-creating World War I in a flour war. Under the direction of Ethan Rein, two teams of campers lobbed some 162 sandwich bags of flour-some scented with either ginger or garlic-at each other at Clearwater Field. Flour Wars was inspired in part by the scene in Follow Me, Boys! where the scouts capture a tank after accidentally getting involved in the Army's wargames.
