Winter Camp's status as a tiebreaker was first invoked in 2002. The argument in question was a debate about who was cooler, Winter Camper Ethan Rein or Lodge Chief Simon Andzelewski. Sam Stocker posted some news on the lodge Web site and called Ethan awesome. Steve Donohue, as Webmaster for both the lodge and Winter Camp sites, got a rebuttal from a member another chapter proclaiming Simon more awesome. The challenge ended when Ethan was found to have held the "Trump Card of Awesomeness": attendance at Winter Camp. Winter Camp's new status was celebrated with a pair of souvenir license plate frames, available at the Winter Camp online store.
