The Rand Institute was given life by Steve Donohue, and its founding principle may be traced to a comment made by Jeff Rand to Ethan Rein and Sam Stocker at Winter Camp XXV. In describing his leadership style, Jeff referred to the "2 T's" of leadership: "True leadership is all about 'tell and take'. First you take charge, then you tell people what to do next." Steve Donohue immortalized this quote on an Institute logo bearing a bald eagle and a pair of T's, which is available on a variety of products sold at the CafePress online store.
