Current Entry: Pre-Planning Meeting
While the planning meeting on the day after Thanksgiving is a firmly established Winter Camp tradition dating back to 1980, it is far less recently that an earlier planning session, dubbed the preplanning meeting, has been seen as necessary. Winter Camp XIV saw the first such gathering, when an October 1990 meeting was held to plan the menu. More recently, with the return of individual theme days, an October or early November meeting has been reinstituted to suggest possible themes to be worked on before the traditional November meeting. The idea behind this new meeting is that daily themes may be proposed and activities and meals determined over the ensuing month so that fully-planned days may be the subject of planning meeting voting in November.
