This name only makes sense in a limited geographic area. If your region of America is familiar with the term "submarine sandwich", then the fact that those were served at this Winter Camp VI dinner justifies the name. If, however, you hail from "grinder", "hero", "hoagie", or "poor boy" land, the name might be somewhat mysterious. The menu has been served four more times since 1983, twice as the Naval Lunch.
