Encyclopedia WinterCampica - High Point

This Beaver Creek cabin was tapped for shelter at Winter Camp XXIV as the size of the crowd made a third cabin necessary. Lang cabin had been booked early in 2000, but the reservation was switched due to demand. Some logistical problems arose that year due to the distance from High Point to Beaver Creek and Clearwater, and discussion about moving Winter Camp to Trout Lake or Jack Lord subcamps began. The talk continued at Winter Camp XXV, the second to use a third cabin. At Winter Camp XXVI, High Point sat empty as Lang served as the third cabin-the question of distance between buildings remained, however. Winter Camp XXX returned to High Point, and Doug Wilson spent one night in the cabin as he became the third Winter Camper, after John Howey and Dave Milon, to spend at least one Winter Camp night in each Beaver Creek subcamp cabin. The cabin was sparsely occupied at Winter Camp XXXI as well.
