For 15 years, Clearwater cabin was known alternately as the "Cold Room". This nickname started when Steve Donohue (whose fondness for cold weather is well-known) and John Howey determined that there should be no heat in the building at night. For many years beginning at Winter Camp VI, there was no heat in Clearwater after midnight. (SD)
