In a grudging admission of the advancing ages of Winter Campers, a wooden cane has been presented at several Winter Camps to a camper who turned 40 during the previous calendar year. Steve Donohue passed the cane to Mark Bollman--> at Winter Camp XXVII in 2003. Ron Donohue was the recipient the next year, and may have been able to use it to get early seating on his flight home to Florida. Dave Oakley picked up the cane at Winter Camp XXIX, and John Howey stood in line to receive it in 2008.
