Encyclopedia WinterCampica - Mutant Hamster Races
Genius Night returned to Winter Camp XXIV on Real Genius Day. A wide variety of dollar-store craft supplies was procured by Steve and Ron Donohue and set out for the creation of robot/hamster crosses. The contest saw winners crowned by judges John Howey, Mark Hunt, and Lou Pezet in the following categories:
- Most creative: Paul Kupser
- Cuddliest: Robert Hartwig & Sam Stocker
- Yummy Award: Steve Clark & Philip Roscoe
A competition was held in the Propulsion division, and Robert Klabis' minimalist hamster rolled the furthest down a ramp. Several mutants were fitted with small model rocket engines and ignited at the evening's end, where Keith King's Portable Sun was used for illumination.Mystery Meat
