Encyclopedia WinterCampica - Arrowman Bingo
First scheduled at Winter Camp XXVI while the two teams of chefs prepared the Ark Dinner, Arrowman Bingo was intended as an icebreaker activity to encourage new and veteran campers to meet. The format was borrowed from a number of other Scouting events: participants were given a bingo card with instructions to collect signatures from other campers during the first day, and campers faced off in a bingo game that evening. The event was run by newcomer Frankie Righetti with equipment provided by Mark Bollman-->, and the three winners took home the fabulous prize of a late 70's-era lodge coffee mug. The event returned at Winter Camp XXVII, but without the fabulous prizes.
At Winter Camp XXIX, this became Vatican City Arrowman Bingo, and instead of signing their names, campers wrote in their nationalities on game cards. Prizes this year were chosen from a collection of classic Detroit Area Council mugs contributed by Doug Wilson.
At Winter Camp XXX, the game was made more challenging by specifying criteria for each square to be met by the signer. These ranged from the simple "Is at Winter Camp XXX" to the considerably more challenging "Earned the Vigil Honor in 2006". Various prizes were awarded that year:
