Encyclopedia WinterCampica - Donations
Winter Camp has often received donations from long-time campers in the form of surplus cooking gear (some even useful), program supplies, and camperships. There are three donations by non-Winter Campers that really stick out: Lodge Staff Adviser Dave Morosky made donating Sausage to Winter Camp an annual tradition. It is most often Venison Sausage and often made during Winter Camp. Dave's Sausage has been the star attraction in the Made in Michigan Meal and in the Polish Buffet.
Non-Scout Mark Miller has donated enough pulled pork to make a dinner twice, in 2009 and 2011. He also provided a campership in 2011. Mark works with Steve Donohue at Exel and in 2011 arranged to create the position of "Lianne's Latrine Liaison" in perpetuity.
Former Migisi Opawgan Lodge Adviser Joe Retzbach has been a frequent visitor to Winter Camp. Shortly after Winter Camp XXXV, he arranged to provide a campership for a deserving youth to Winter Camp XXXVI. (SD)
