Encyclopedia WinterCampica - Luncheon at Club Trout Lake
The Ocean's 38 theme at Winter Camp XXXVIII included the Cross-Country Triathlon, which led to rerouting the Cross-Country Golf course from the Beaver Creek Skills Building site to the Trout Lake building, which served as the clubhouse of Club Trout Lake and the home of lunch. The food was prepared at Beaver Creek and transported up to Trout Lake; an informal game of four-square broke out as campers waited for the meal to be delivered. Macaroni and Cheese was served in bread cones that had been laboriously baked earlier in the Weekette. Also on the menu were Corn Chips, Cupcakes, and colored water with floating fruit.
New D-A head ranger Jack Sims joined campers for lunch, and noted that he and Winter Camp were the same Scouting age, since Winter Camp I had been held during his first year on the ranger staff.
