Thomas Achatz first attended Winter Camp in 1978 and attended continuously until 1981; he has attended 4. Thomas called Troop 842 home. Members of the Lodge recognized his service with the Vigil Honor in 1981. His Vigil name is Aptonagan Nochnutemaliuwet which means Word Keeper. Thomas is one of the pioneers of Winter Camp.
Tom nearly sat on a cake at Winter Camp II. Many efforts to reach him for the XX anniversary celebration failed and it is rumored that he has joined the Federal Witness Protection Program.
