On Day One of Winter Camp XXXII, while the Long-Distance Slingshot event was setting up, several campers were gathered outside the Beaver Creek building and noticed that water from melting snow and intermittent rain was accumulating outside the cabin. They undertook to construct a diversionary trench to move the water away, and the engineering project eventually ran down the hill, across the road, and to Brookside campsite, where it terminated near Jeff Rand's tent.
