The second underground newspaper at Winter Camp XI popped up as a direct challenge to the Allogagan. The unidentified minds behind the Republic, known only as the "Free Our Republic" movement, targeted Jeff Rand as the mind behind the Allogagan and devoted two issues of their paper to an assault on him and his creation. (The initials of "Free Our Republic" are curiously similar to those of a suggestion that Jeff stop performing a sex act. This is said to be no accident.)
