Encyclopedia WinterCampica - Religious Service
In the first few years of Winter Camp, and again in recent years, an effort has been made to schedule an interdenominational religious service at camp whenever the Weekette includes a Sunday. Seven such services have been held, including a fairly formal program at Winter Camp
The Scout's Own Service has recently appeared at camp, held at Winter Camps XXVI, XXVII, XXX, and XXXI. At Winter Camp XXXIII, in what might have been an ominous development, "Reverent" was omitted from the points of the Scout Law mentioned in the responsorial reading. Other years have seen less formal religious observances, including a general discussion of the religious principles of the Boy Scouts of America led by Jeff Rand at Winter Camp IX.
