Dan Bollman, Security Director at Winter Camp VI, attempted to launch this unscheduled event, which was inspired by Bruce Feirstein's book Real Men Don't Eat Quiche. A collection of events was slated, including a javelin throw contested with a drinking straw. When Alan Herster was the only one to sign up for the decathlon, it was canceled due to lack of sufficient "real men".
