Day Four of Winter Camp XXXV saw a virulent plague sighted in the outlying districts, and Winter Camp once again rose as one to rescue the Earth. An aerial survey tipped the camp off to eighteen locations of infectious agents. Following a briefing by the camp medical team, TR Evangelista accepted the nomination of his fellows to lead the charge on behalf of humanity, and he successfully engineered the decoding of the eighteen clues leading the camp to the locations of known outbreaks. Time was short-only two hours remained to save humanity-and the stakes were high.
The most local of the infectors were all quickly found and neutralized. Fifteen of the eighteen plague spores were rapidly retrieved, and with 40 minutes to go, only three spores-all known to be in Trout Lake subcamp-remained at large. At 3:54 PM WCST, Gabe Church, Alex Downie, and Ian McKeever delivered the final three spores to the medical officials, and with those spores destroyed, Winter Camp once again saved the world.
