Two big ways to do this I think. One would be to try to hit a target with a tomato, the second would be to throw the tomato hard enough to bust it into paste. They could be combined too I suppose.

Why would we want to do this?
Who doesn't like the idea of whipping as tomato at something to destroy it? Lobbing vegetables has been around since the middle ages.

Throw tomatoes at a target hoping to hit it and bust open the tomato.
