Capture The Objective Last Held: XLI: he classic Winter Camp sized game of Capture the Flag is back. Plays much like Capture the Flag except we add additional treasures to be stolen and if you're caught, it just costs your team points. After two hours of play, whichever has scored the most (or least) points is the winning team.

Casino Night Last Held: XLV: Players are issued chips and then get a chance to test their skill at a variety of gambling tables. Usually, we include blackjack, roulette, poker, craps, and Volkswagen racing. We even had Banco one year (pretty much like blackjack, but cool enough for James Bond).

Campers Are Awesome!: We record campers doing awesome things. It could be hoverboarding, running, driving nails, reciting the alphabet or digits of pi, just something most people couldn't do.
Pizza Poetry: Teams or individuals write poetry about pizza. The topic could be the taste, the making of, whatever fills their mind with pizza and motivates them to was poetic.
Dough Games: Olympic-style events with dough. Dough-put. Dough for height, dough for distance. Use the dough as the baton in a relay.
Tomato Paste: Two big ways to do this I think. One would be to try to hit a target with a tomato, the second would be to throw the tomato hard enough to bust it into paste. They could be combined too I suppose.
Quidditch: This is a terrestial version of Quidditch where players put multiple balls though the goal to earn points.
The House Cup: Throughout the week, houses get points for doing good things and lose points for doing bad. We'd have nightly standards and then a final winner seemingly determined by headmaster fiat.
House Creation: Similar to the counrry creation a few years ago. Each team would name their houus, pick colors, identify their house boy (or girl), maybe pick colors and add some characteristic behaviors for their group (maybe 2 good and 1 bad).
Artificial Intelligence: Each team creates 3 or 4 factoids, things that aren't true but could be or are almost true. They could be about a person, place or thing. At the end of the week, they scoure points based on how many people believe their lies.
The Big Dig: This one might be a little out there but the idea is that the teams get a list of components with which to build a digging robot for their mine. At meals we compare standings and allow changes and improvements.
Remote Orienteering: Team is split in half. Half are Field Operatives and the other half are Control. Control has a map to several location and must explain where to go next to the field operatives without using the names of directions.
Machine Learning: We pick a relatively simple game and attempt to write a set of rules for playing it that will produce a victory or at least a challenging game. The game probably has to be relatively simple, like Tic-Tac-Toe.
Mr. Roboto: A role-playing activity where campers try to be extremely logical robots.
Flowchart Follies: Teams are given instructions for some basic task and must use some standard flowcharting symbols to create those instructions in a clear and finite manner. Clarity and conciseness are keys.
Robot Maze: There are enough inexpensive kits and technical expertise that it seems like we could build a robot or two and race them through a maze. If we can only manage one, maybe we could have different teams each do their own programming to see who could traverse the maze faster with the same piece of hardware.
Frankenstein's Droid: We bring a variety of pieces and parts including old construction kits (Lego, K'nex, Mecanno, etc) and try to assemble the collection into a usable droid.
Are you smarter than an Artoo unit?: In Star Wars, the astromech droids (R2D2 and BB8) can fix everything, usually while under fire. In this game, Winter Campers try to fix things.
Games for Programmers: We play games which include a programmed movement element. Some examples would include Robo Rally, Colt Express, Duck Duck Go, and The Haunting House. We could also include Ricochet Robot.
Slide Rule Race: Kind of a throwback activity to an older time when affordable pocket calculators didn't exist.
Water Flow: There are a lot of puzzles now with a complex array of pipes asking us to determine which cup/bucket will fill first. What if we made some real world versions of this, maybe using straws?
GPS Picture Pages: We use GPS software from phones and other devices to draw picture by walking paths intended to draw images when looking at GPS mapping software.
Geocache Mythology Last Held: XLIV: Campers follow a geocache trail which leads them to a number of artifacts. After collecting them, they are asked to explain the mythology which connects them.
Acronym Contest: Create an acronym that would be useful for Winter Camp either as a theme or for some other purprose.
Cross-Country Skiing: We strap on skis and use them to travel somewhere.
Plaque Hike: Visit a variety of memorial locations where we know the people who the site is dedicated.
Artificial Intelligence Drawing: Teams are formed and given a subject to draw. One person does not know and tries to watch the others to make a similar drawing. The goal is to not be identified as the fake.
Time Capsule Opening Last Held: XLV: We open the time capsule and examine/discuss the contents.
Violent Vocabulary: Throw darts at the letterboard and then use the letters to form words. Longer words are worth more points.
Fire Juggling: Something, probably balls or torches, is set ablaze and campers who feel up to the challenge are asked to demonstrate their best juggling technique using the item.
Army Crawl Through Paint: I assume we have a trap full of paint to crawl through. Maybe at the end we have large sheets of paper to immortalize our event. Alternately, we could wear tyvek suits.
Directional Antenna Fox Hunt: We have two directional antennas which we use to track and/or locate someone or something in camp.
Shotgun Shooting: We arrange for a qualified range officer to be at camp for one day and we go shotgun shooting.
Scout Morality Challenge: Scouts attend multiple stations. At each station they are given a task and must complete it. There are rules but you don't know them.
Kangaroo Court: Each team accuses the others of a crime. The accused don't know their crime but must defend themsleves
Bee Bee: A trivia game which combines elements of spelling bee, geography bee and other bees.
Revolution: The revolutionaries win and the ruling dictators and their rules are deposed.
Water Rocket Launch: Rockets which have been built fro two-liter bottles and assorted bits of craft materials are launched using a compressor.
Carnival Games: We put on a midway with unfair games and sideshow attractions.
Chess Clock Puzzle Contest: Teams compete to assemble a puzzle. They build the frame, then each team gets an equal portion of the pieces. When it's your turn, the clock counts down until you add a piece. Team with the most time left at the end wins.
Search Party: Campwide search for one person who is lost and provides some clues to help others find them.
Chewy Checkers (details pending): Participants are given a bag of candy which will be their pieces when playing checkers. If you capture a piece you can either add it to your collection or eat it. At the end of the weekette, the most pieces wins.
Detective Challenge: The participants engage in a round-robin of activities to challenge their detective skills.

Balloon Bowling: Participants blow up long, thick balloons (probably 350, 646, or 660) and then release them trying to knock down a pyramid of stacked plastic or foam cups). Scoring could be like bowling or it could be fewest balloons to knock down all the cups.
Lodge/Chapter Game Retheme: Take a well-known game and retheme it to a themed version based on our
Goal Ball: Players are blindfolded and in two teams of three. They must remain seated and pursue a ball with a bell in it. The goal is to put it in the opponents goal. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Goalball
Ghost Hunt: Teams will use the geocaching boxes and clues they find along the way to find D-bar-A's most haunted spots.
Ethical Dilemma: Campers will be divided into teams by age to discuss an age appropriate ethical question. After debate, they'll present their decision and reasoning to the group.
Possession Game: Each player is given a card. Most of the name have the same word written on them. The goal is for the person with a blank card to figure out what the cards said while the others try to decide who had the blank.
Mythbusters: Winter Campers are given an old wive's tale to disprove.
Haunted Building: Teams will be given a set of parts with which to build something. They will receive instructions from the haunted typewriter on how to build it without ever seeing the finished product.
Religious Service (Outdoor): A Scout is reverent. There could be entertaining activities as part of the service.
LoRa Radio Game: Control territory through movement.
Gaga Ball (details pending): Sort of soccer dodgeball in a confined space.
Triathlon (details pending): A Winter Camp style triathlon of construction, cornhole, and bocce.
Night Frisbee (details pending): Taking advantage of the camp's frisbee golf course and an ample supply of light sticks.
